Hardmans do Europe

The oldest university in the western world is found here, in Bologna. Naturally, my academic heart sings with glee at this fun fact and I find myself surrounded by my people, people who love to learn. Bologna, like all places in Italy, is old, but full of young, university students. I love it here.

We left Rome in a balmy 24 degrees, with the morning sun beating down upon us. As we pulled our luggage across cobble stone streets, I was reminded of our Europe holiday four years ago, where we did the exact same thing. For the first time, we used to Rome Metro system to take us to Roma Termini for our train to Bologna. Roma Termini is in the top 5 largest train stations in the world and the second biggest in Europe.
